Story
I am off to London in April 2012 to participate in the Virgin London Marathon.
I NEED YOUR HELP.
As some of you know, I am an avid runner but in the recent years have been thinking more about how incredibly fortunate I am to be able to participate in any number of events I choose.This, along with my increased awareness of serious illness-'maybe I'm getting old!', has led me to my next BIG challenge.... TO FUNDRAISE TO CURE CANCER.
It is now not only the running that motivates me, BUT, the challenge of my fundraising target of AUD$10,000 which is providing my inspiration. I am doing this for the people who face the devastating impact of cancer on their lives and the lives of their families, friends and colleagues.
Cure Cancer Australia Foundation funds young researchers who have innovative ideas and are seeking a cure for cancer. The vigour in which these young medical researchers approach their task gives us all amazing hope for the future. Every $50 donated, funds one hour of vital cancer research.
